The Patient Education section allows you to access health education materials. Here, you are able to search MedlinePlus.gov for health information. Also, your provider may add informational links related to diagnoses, medications, or concerns discussed during your visit.
The links in the Patient Education section will take you to a third-party website where you can view health education materials recommended for you. Be advised, these materials are for informational purposes only. They do not replace the advice or counsel of a doctor or health care professional.
How To Get Here
Go to My Health and then select Patient Education from the menu.
This section displays a search field where you can search MedlinePlus.gov for health-related information. The search bar allows you to conduct keyword searches in English or Spanish.
|1.||Select your language in the drop-down menu.|
|2.||Enter search keywords and then select Search.|
This will generate a list of links based on your search. For example, entering "asthma" into the search field generates results based upon the keyword "asthma." Selecting one of the results opens MedlinePlus.gov in a new window.
If you cannot find the answers you’re looking for, try using fewer or broader search words.
Provider Suggested Information
Patient education links suggested by your provided are located below the search field, and divided by the date of your visit. They will also show which provider has added these links for you. For example, selecting the provider suggested link Lisinopril 20 MG TABS (Medication) takes you to the National Library of Health's website, MedlinePlus Connect, for information on this medication.
These links will send you to a third-party website that will appear in a new window. You can search any terms in the search field, but only a provider can add links to this page.
